GCSE consultation launched

The Isle of Man has until September to make a decision on which path to follow for GCSE exams.

It follows England’s decision to totally overhaul the qualification – from September next year most subjects will be assessed entirely by end of course exams.

Students of all abilities will also sit the same exam paper – something that has rarely been tried in the English examination system before.

A public consultation was launched yesterday to gauge the opinions of people on the Island.
