A thousand bikes to join Simon Andrews tribute parade

Sun, 01 Jun 2014

Over a thousand bikes will be out on the TT course later for a tribute lap in honour of Simon Andrews.

Fans will ride out at 3pm to remember the 29 year old racer who died at the North West 200 a fortnight ago.

The Honda Legends rider made his TT debut in 2011.

A noisy send-off is also planned when the bikers attending the parade will all rev their engines together for a 'minute's noise' at the Grandstand at 2.30pm.

For safety reasons the lap will be led by police escort.

Officers ask riders to stay behind the escort and follow the rules of the road.
