No plans to legalise cannabis on the Island

There are no plans to review the Island's stance on legalising cannabis use at this time.

That's the message from the Department of Health and Social Care following a debate on the topic in the House of Keys yesterday.

Onchan MHK Peter Karran says he's campaigned for a new ruling before and thinks it should be legalised.

Discussion on the matter has been sparked by personal comments made by the Chief Minister suggesting he would be in favour of the move.
