Multi-million pound spend approved for hospital IT upgrade

Tynwald has voted in favour of a major spend on upgrading Noble's Hospital IT system.

The current technology is described as being seriously outdated - it will be replaced by the Medway system, used by many hospitals across the UK.

In total it will cost £3.2 million.

Despite data protection concerns raised by the Speaker of the House Steve Rodan, Tynwald Members voted in favour spending the money.
