No firm evidence of 'punishment beatings'

Several of the most serious assaults dealt with on the Island in the last few years are as a result of drug disputes.

However the Department of Home Affairs says it has no firm evidence they can be classed as 'punishment beatings'. 

Minister Juan Watterson says the nature of the crime makes it difficult to record but says discussions have started to improve information sharing between the department and the Department of Health and Social Care.
