Handprints of vandals being analysed by police

Thu, 31 Jul 2014

Handprints found on a car that was vandalised earlier this month are being analysed by police.

It follows an incident outside Franklins' Showroom in Port Erin which happened on either Friday the 18th or Saturday the 19th.

Police say they believe someone jumped on the roof of a white car causing substantial damage.

The handprints have been sent for forensic comparison - police say if they don't match a suspect at this time they'll be kept on the UK database until a match is found.

Anyone who witnessed what happened - or who is responsible - has been told to contact Port Erin Police Station.
