A Ramsey man has been told he reacted in a 'completely inappropriate way' to a bus not stopping for him.

36-year-old Robert Houghton was given a two year conditional discharge order  after pleading guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words and behaviour.

He was involved in an altercation with a bus driver on May 6th, in Ramsey, after the vehicle didn't stop where he wanted it to.

Sentencing him earlier this week Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes took into consideration his early guilty plea, and Asperger's, but said he needed to learn to control his outbursts.

She said drivers deserve to be able to carry out their business without getting abuse and ordered Mr Houghton to pay costs of £350.
