Mental health care on hand for cancer patients

It's important that Manx cancer patients have access to mental health professionals.

That's the message from the Isle of Man Cancer Users' Forum - after a conference last week.

Psycho-oncology is becoming synonymous with the use of modern cancer treatments - focusing on the prevention of mental illness as a result of coping with the disease.

Isle of Man Anti-Cancer and Manx Cancer Help fund the service on Island.

Forum chairman Derek Peters, who has suffered from head and neck cancer himself, says it's imperative to recovery:
