Local vets head to India for Mission Rabies

Tue, 30 Sep 2014

Two vets from the Isle of Man have played their part in helping to eradicate rabies in India.

Father and daughter team Edric and Jessica Cross have just returned from Goa where they were working for the UK based charity Mission Rabies.

The charity runs a dog neutering and rabies vaccination programme to tackle the problem caused by the huge population of street animals.

Over 11 days the duo helped to neuter 290 dogs - describing it as a "fantastic experience".
