Stormy weather causing problems on Island's roads

Mon, 06 Oct 2014

Police are urging people to take extra care today due to the stormy weather.

Trees have come down across the Island and there is also considerable leaf and other debris which is proving hazardous.

Earlier this morning a fallen tree took down the electrical cables in Ballaugh - officers, the Manx Utilities Authority and Department of Infrastructure workers are out in force.

A number of bus services have been suspended or diverted whilst areas are being cleared.

Officers say unless you have to leave your home please don't.
