Isle of Man bank closes three branches

Isle of Man Bank is closing three of its branches.

Prospect Terrace in Douglas, Onchan and Ballasalla banks will shut in February after experiencing a drop in customer numbers.

Figures have plummeted by 30 per cent over the last four years - whilst online transactions have grown by more than 200 per cent.

Two members of staff are at risk of redundancy - all other positions will be redeployed.

A new mobile bank facility will be set up to serve both Onchan and Ballasalla as well as Kirk Michael and Laxey.
