Ramsey to become dementia friendly town

Sat, 11 Oct 2014

Ramsey has signalled an intention to become more dementia friendly.

The commissioners - including those in housing and property maintenance - have undergone training to improve their skills and knowledge.

Research suggests that one in three people over the age of 65 will develop dementia.

The education sessions were carried out by the newly established branch of the Alzheimer's Society which is aiming to create dementia-friendly communities.
