Temporary planning rules could be relaxed

Public feedback is wanted on a new proposal to relax temporary planning applications.

The Department of Infrastructure is looking to extend the scope of the Permitted Development Order regarding temporary use or development land.

It's to remove the time spent on approval for short-term changes of use to suit occasions like car boot sales, fairs, sports events and community celebrations.

More substantial uses will also be considered if they have a significant economic benefit to the Island - such as constructions connected with the TT or Southern 100.
