Politicians in parking permit row

Plans to charge for parking permits have been slammed for hitting drivers in the pocket.

The Department of Infrastructure wants to charge £25 for the annual permit - which allows people to park on the streets around their homes.

Minister Phil Gawne has apologised saying he deeply regrets having to place more strain on those who are already under "incredible financial pressure" - however he says everyone must take the hit. 

However, it's not a decision that's gone down well particularly with Douglas MHKs. Brenda Cannell represents those living in East Douglas - she says she's angry:
