Virtual Development group will aid inward investment

A new initiative by Economic Development will see a concerted effort to progress private investment projects through to completion.

CoMIN came under fire after private investors had major plans to overhaul the Marine Biological Centre in Port Erin rejected on the basis of parking and visual impact concerns.

The company behind the plans, Sea Breezes were in a position to invest significant amounts of money into the project, but have since opted to look elsewhere.

Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly says the recently established 'Virtual Development Team' will now be working towards positive project outcomes:
