Parking rethink 'great news' for Douglas retail

The chairman of the Island's retail committee has praised news of a rethink on parking in Douglas.

Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne yesterday announced revisions to plans his department had submitted in October.

The parking overhaul - including slashing the time people could park for free - was geared to generate additional revenue but was met with outcry over concerns it would impact trade.
