Too much bureaucracy involved in Equality Bill says MHK

Bureaucracy involved in implementing the Equality Bill is exhaustive.

That's the message from the Home Affairs Minister - who says it needs to be made more easily digestible to the private sector.

The Bill has been described as 'one of the most important pieces of legislation to be progressed in the Isle of Man in recent times'.

However, there are also worries from members of the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce that start-up costs will reach £5,000 to £10,000 a year.
