Bradford men back in court over alleged kidnap

Wed, 03 Dec 2014

Four men from England who are accused of kidnap have been further remanded at the Isle of Man Prison.

Abdul Ahad from Burnley, Muhammed Khan, Amman Sohil and Zishaan Sharif - who are all from Bradford - have yet to enter pleas to the one charge of kidnapping.

The men, who are between 19 and 24, appeared at Douglas Courthouse via video link from the prison in Jurby yesterday.

It's alleged they travelled to the Island on October 31st to try and take another man back to the UK but were stopped when the alleged victim alerted police at the Sea Terminal.

The court heard the prosecution is on target to meet the committal date of December 23rd when the men will appear in person in court.

There were no applications for bail.
