Mental Health services see 16.1% increase

Mental Health services on the Island have seen a 16.1 per cent increase in the last year.

The Department of Health and Social Care released the figure in the House of Keys after a question on waiting times in the area.

Onchan MHK Peter Karran asked why people have to wait six to eight months for help and what plans are in place to reduce the time it takes.

Referrals for the last year topped 3,000 - Minister Howard Quayle says it's not good enough and he's trying to find a solution:
