Death by dangerous driving man to stand trial

A Ballaugh man who has been accused of causing the death of his daughter has been committed to stand trial at the Court of General Gaol.

45-year-old Raymond French appeared at Douglas Courthouse for the second time today.

The Ballaugh man faces three charges - manslaughter, causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious bodily harm by dangerous driving.

It follows a crash between his BMW and a bus close to the Ballakaighan Corner near to Castletown on October 5th last year.

His 10-year-old daughter Alexis was killed in the collision - another man was also injured.


The case has now been adjourned to a date to be fixed.
