Suspected burglar foiled by dog

Police are once again appealing to the public to lock up their properties in order to deter thieves.

It follows reports of an attempted break in on the Ballamohda Straight on Saturday.

At around 5.30pm a man tried to enter a barn and steal items from within - he was foiled by the resident Border collie.

Police say he escaped the area before police arrived and are urging people to be extra vigilant.
