Buses taken out of service due to winds

Thu, 15 Jan 2015

Bus services are being disrupted as a result of the severe weather hitting the Isle of Man.

Bus Vannin has announced that double deckers are being taken out of service due to the storm force winds.

This will result in some changes to school services - although schools will not be closing early.

All pupils at Castle Rushen High School will need to use the normal service buses which will call into the school grounds - those travelling to Peel and Foxdale will have to go via Douglas.

Those at Ramsey have been warned some services will operate later than planned and QE11 students should also catch service buses as they come through the school.

All schools have been notified of the changes - any further modifications to routes will be posted on the Isle of Man Bus and Rail website and Twitter pages.
