Douglas Head stand off man had chainsaw

Mon, 19 Jan 2015

A Douglas man involved in the major incident on Head Road on Friday night has appeared in court charged with ABH.

23-year-old Christopher Seed has also been charged with one count of affray, one of attempted wounding and assaulting a police officer.

The road was closed for roughly four hours, between 7pm and 11pm, whilst armed officers dealt with the "domestic dispute".

It was confirmed in court that Seed was in possession of a chainsaw during the stand off.

No pleas were entered - he has been remanded in custody and will appear again in court next Tuesday.
