Refurbishments planned for Willaston social housing tenants

Social housing tenants in Willaston will have their homes refurbished by the taxpayer to ensure they are weather tight.

It's after problems with roof coverings, chimney stacks and external render on a significant number of homes.

A refurbishment programme, funded by Treasury, got underway two years ago - so far 30 properties have been completed.

One MHK has claimed the problems are due to ineffective cavity wall insulation - Health and Social Care Minister Howard Quayle says that is not the case:
