Man charged with ABH set to represent himself in court

Thu, 05 Feb 2015

A 31-year-old man who faces two charges of ABH has been advised to find legal representation before his case progresses.

Douglas man Martin Morris appeared at Douglas Courthouse on Tuesday via live video link from Jurby Prison.

Morris, who has chosen to represent himself, has previously pleaded not guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm outside the Broadway Masala on January 24th.

He also denies two charges of provoking behaviour and three of damaging property from the same day - and a further charge of damaging property from the day after.

The case has now been adjourned until February 10th - Morris didn't apply for bail and was remanded in prison until then.
