Sailings delayed after Ben loses control in harbour

Ben-my-Chree sailings have been delayed today after the boat lost control in Douglas Harbour last night.

Engineers are still working on the vessel changing components - once completed the system will be tested, if succesful the boat should be able to resume sailing.

The Ben suffered technical failure as it was trying to berth at around 5.30pm - it was finally able to berth around four hours later.

Steam Packet chief executive Mark Woodward says the boat didn't escape without damage:
