Derbyhaven Residents' Society approve of hotel plans

Derbyhaven Residents' Society approve of £20 million plans to redevelop the former Castletown Golf Links Hotel - with conditions.

It says plans to transform the derelict site have been long-awaited, but they are concerned over plans to build accompanying apartments.

Last year a clause banning development on Langness 'unless it was in relation to the golf course and hotel' was abolished.

Tim Cullen is the chairman of the residents' society, he tells us the company and its architects should be sensitive to the location:
