New neonatal unit to improve care for Island babies

The Isle of Man can now offer the highest standard of care for premature and critically ill babies.

That's according to the Department of Health and Social Care as the keys for a £4 million neonatal building were officially handed over yesterday. 

The extension adjoins the Jane Crookall maternity unit and will offer more space for specialist care provision.

Dr Prakash Thiagarajan helped shape the new facility - he says it's been a long time coming:
