Plans in place for Strand Centre Tesco Express

Plans are in place for a new Tesco Express store for Douglas.

The store would take the place of the former Manx Electricity Authority shop in the Strand Centre - which has stood empty since 2012.

It's thought the venture would create 20 new jobs for the local community.

A public exhibition will be held in the prospective premises on Thursday of next week from 2pm until 7pm.

Tesco's corporate affairs manager, Mark Thomas, urges as many people as possible to attend the exhibition.
