The Lord of Mann has invited a Manx policeman to attend her Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.

Constable Michael Griffiths' company was requested by the Lieutenant Governor His Excellency Adam Wood for his work to establish a cadet scheme for 16-18 year olds.

Constable Griffiths was also awarded with the R.K. Eason Trophy at the Chief Constable's Annual Award Ceremony this week.

He'll have an opportunity to meet Queen Elizabeth 2nd upon attending the event in May with his wife - he says he has the cadets to thank for it:
