Onchan MHK says housing system needs to change

Health and Social Care exceeded its budget for local authority housing by around £1.6 million over the last three years.

The DHSC spent an extra £368,450 in 2012/13 and the following year a further £2 million was dished out.

It's an issue inherited by the Department of Infrastructure when responsibility was handed over on 1st April.

Last year £2.2 million was spent on kitchen units in over 230 council houses.
