Disabled motorists given parking leeway

Disabled people are being given extra time to navigate car parks in Douglas after a controversial move to scrap free parking.

Douglas Borough Council has started charging blue badge holders to park at Shaw's Brow, the Bottleneck, Chester Street and Drumgold Street.

However following criticism people will now be granted an extra-hour for free on top of whatever time they purchase.
