Pub fight men to stand trial

Sat, 25 Jul 2015

Two men who allegedly assaulted each other after a dispute in a Douglas pub will stand trial.

24-year-old Patrick Capelen, who is from Peel, and 25-year-old Daniel Burgess, from Douglas, appeared at Douglas Courthouse earlier this week.

Both men entered not guilty pleas to a charge of disorderly behaviour on licensed premises - Capelen also denied a charge of ABH and Burgess denied a charge of common assault.

The pair are accused of getting into an altercation on June 26th at the Thirsty Pigeon - the case has been adjourned until September 10th when a pre-trial review will take place.
