Public asked to help review Island's parole system

A tragic high profile incident last year has led to an independent inquiry into the Island's parole system.

Donovan Kitching is now serving a ten year prison sentence after he caused the death of visitor Gwen Valentine by dangerous driving.

He had only been released from prison on parole three weeks earlier.

The independent inquiry is now inviting evidence from the public.

Former advocate Geoff Karran MBE will lead the inquiry - he says it's time to find out if the existing system is suitable for the Isle of Man:
