Guy Martin outlines extent of Ulster GP injuries

Fri, 04 Sep 2015

TT favourite Guy Martin has broken his silence on the injuries he sustained at the recent Ulster GP.

Taking to his facebook page Guy started the lengthy post by stating he wanted the extent of his injuries to come 'straight from the horse's mouth'.

He heaped praise on the protective gear he was wearing, citing his helmet as saving his life.

Guy head butted the ground at 130mph and despite being knocked unconscious he only sustained a bloodshot left eye.

Elsewhere he broke five vertebrae , cracked his sternum straight down the middle, broke five ribs and two metacarpals in his right hand.

He has now returned to work, but is yet to decide upon his future as a motorbike racer.
