Island will follow UK's lead on migrant crisis

We're not an independent country - so we have to follow what the UK plans to do about aid for Syrian refugees. 

That's the message from Chief Minister Allan Bell. 
 
It follows speculation on social media concerning what the Isle of Man can offer to support 20,000 displaced people migrating to Britain by 2020. 
 
Bishop Robert Paterson has suggested that we commit to rehousing a portion of that number here. 
 
Mr Bell says it's too soon to make a call on how the Island should respond:
