Residents told to secure homes after thief strikes

Fri, 25 Sep 2015

Island residents are being warned to lock their doors after a thief struck in Douglas earlier this week.

Overnight on Tuesday someone entered a property on Bray Hill which had been left insecure - they stole an Apple iPad and a Contour go-pro style camera.

Police say enquiries are continuing and are asking people to ensure they take basic steps to protect their homes, such as locking doors and windows.

Officers also want to speak to anyone who is offered similar items for sale - they've asked people to contact Police Headquarters or Crimestoppers with any information.
