World Vegan Day is being marked by a mother looking to help prospective converts adjust to the diet.

Ruth Baldwin-Martin is hosting an information stall on Strand Street today for the Island's 200 vegetarian and vegan consumers.

The event is celebrated in November to promote veganism as a healthy lifestyle choice.
