A Peel teenager who went on a shoplifting spree in TK Maxx will be sentenced next month after pleading guilty to theft.

19-year-old Billy Sumner was caught by staff at the Douglas store on April 22nd - CCTV showed him going into the changing rooms and returning with fewer items than he'd taken in.

Footage was also checked from the week before which showed him doing the same - his total haul included a Ralph Lauren shirt, a pair of shorts and a baseball cap.

Police arrested Sumner and he was searched - they also found him in possession of 52p of cannabis bush and 11 tabs of acid.

Social enquiry reports have been requested - Sumner is due to be sentenced on December 17th.
