Too much time spent answering questions in Tynwald and the House of Keys will lead to "slippages" in Treasury.
That's the message from the Minister who's criticised politicians for directing so many queries at his department.
Since October last year 262 questions for written and oral answer have been tabled - Eddie Teare says it's affecting productivity.
He says in many cases the information being sought is already in the public domain - this, he says, means taxpayers' money is being wasted:
