A Douglas teenager who was caught having drugs sent to his home has been told he'll be sentenced in the New Year.

19-year-old Liam Kaighin pleaded guilty to being concerned in the production of cannabis bush and possession of the substance at Douglas Courthouse this week.

Police and sniffer dogs were called to the Isle of Man Post Office on June 2nd after concerns were raised about a suspicious package which was due to be delivered to Kaighin.

It was opened and cannabis bush with a street value of just over £1,500 was recovered - a search by officers at the address on the package also recovered more of the drug.

Social enquiry reports have been requested before Kaighin is sentenced on January 5th - he's been bailed in the meantime.
