Tesco and Strand Centre await licence reaction

Success is closely followed by suspense as the Strand Centre and Tesco wait to find out if its new Express store will be held up by any appeal.

The retail giant won approval for an alcohol license at Douglas Courthouse yesterday.

General manager Louise Whyman says nearby stores provide respective offerings so retail shouldn't be affected.
