Northern sewerage plant on schedule despite bad weather

Construction of a new sewerage treatment plant in the north of the Island is on schedule for completion.
 
The chairman of the Manx Utilities Authority Alf Cannan says the project at Balladoole started in November last year. 
 
It's expected to take 18 months to complete and will mean raw sewerage will no longer be pumped into the sea.
 
In the House of Keys this week Mr Cannan was also quizzed on whether further work is needed elsewhere and how much it would cost:
