Manx earnings 10 per cent higher than the UK

Earnings are 10 per cent higher on the Isle of Man than in the UK.

The Isle of Man Earnings Survey 2015 was published yesterday - it was collated from data taken across the entire Manx population.

Pay-packets are getting heavier as the average full-time wage increased by two per cent last year -  overtime, incentive pay and shift premia also hiked by 6.6 per cent.

The Economic Affairs Division says the average gross weekly salary stands at £672 for just over 37 hours of work - however median pay has decreased to £536.
