Minister defends decision to close police stations

Fri, 11 Mar 2016

Taxpayers' money has been wasted by building and then shutting down two police stations on the Isle of Man.

There are over £2 million of loan charges outstanding on the station sites - the southern facility has already been closed with officers at Lord Street waiting to be redeployed to Police Headquarters.

Minister Juan Watterson says it's time to let go and release both buildings back for the "benefit of government":
