Minister trying to find extra money for Health Service

It's time to find new ways to pump additional funds into the Island's Health Service.

That's the message from the Health and Social Care Minister who voiced his concerns about finances in Tynwald yesterday.

Each individual Manx resident now pays an average of £2,387 into the service - however at Noble's Hospital last year there was still an overspend of £10 million.

Howard Quayle says it's time to look at how the money's balanced to stop staff lobbying in silo to suit other agendas:
