College rebrand will help keep students on-Island

Rebranding the Isle of Man College will reflect its new 'modern day status and role in the economy'.

From April 1st it will be known as University College Isle of Man - it hopes to offer a better range of higher education courses. 

It's hoped this will keep more young people on the Island rather than losing them to the UK to do their degree.

Professor Ronald Barr is the chief executive for the Department of Education and Children - he says UCM will be cheaper for families and the government:
