Bushy's 'ripped off' by international culture festival caterer

Local brewery Bushy's is out of pocket by £10,000 after claims it was ripped off by a Cornish caterer.

Festival Interceltique de Lorient took place in Brittany in August last year - where Manx cultural heritage took centre stage alongside Cornwall.

Bushy's was contacted by 'Downright Delicious' - which subsequently placed a large order for beer; however after the event payment wasn't received.

It's reported the company went into voluntary liquidation and an identical outfit was formed in its place by the same man.

Culture Vannin and the Cornish Council worked together to promote the festival - both have been contacted but have made no comment.
