He's previously denied a charge of assaulting the woman causing wounding at Sugar Sugar on Wellington Street on February 6th.

In addition he's also been charged with another count of assault - it's alleged he assaulted a man on the street outside on the same night.

Earlier that day the visitor had captained the Teesside football team during a match against the Isle of Man's side in Peel.

Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes adjourned the case in his absence until May 3rd.
