Charging for phone bill is 'commercial decision' says OFT

No action will be taken to try and deter Manx Telecom from charging people to receive a paper phone bill.

That's the message from the Office of Fair Trading which says it's a "commercial decision" and the approach is common in the telecoms market.

In Tynwald this week North Douglas MHK John Houghton expressed his discontent with the move:

Chairman David Quirk says it's "consumer choice" if people sign up to receive a free eBill instead of being charged £1.50 for the hard copy:
